Hot on the heels of burning up CJLO’s top 10 and in town for Pop Montreal, Vancouver 5-piece You Say Party! We Say Die! stumbled into the CJLO studios October 1, 2005 covered in blood.  Covered in blood?   Damn right.  Well…sorta.  The guys and gals had just got out of a photo shoot (the results can be seen here) and the fake blood proved to be a lot more difficult to get off.  Meh, not really a bad thing. the bloodied-up look is punk.

Not only was the You Say Party! We Say Die! crew traveling with CJLO pal and past SONiCs...

After performing a stripped down set for Hooked on Sonics in the winter, Haligonians Wintersleep , whose sophomore record spent 3 consecutive weeks at #1 on the CJLO Top 30, returned to our studios July 28, 2005, and this time plugged in for a full electric band session.

Paul, Tim and Loel of Wintersleep visited chateau CJLO February 25, 2005 (Jud was missing somewhere in downtown Montreal). Wanting to do something a little different, the guys decided to do a stripped down session for Hooked on Sonics, and recorded the songs with Paul on acoustic guitar, Loel on drums, and Tim on ye ole keyboard.

The rad lads in Uncut and the awesome gals of Magneta Lane dropped by the CJLO studios the afternoon of Dec. 12, 2004.  Now, bands always come late for sessions, but as a precaution, whoever's responsible for the session still gets to the station a little bit earlier than the agreed upon time to set up, blah blah blah.  Due to work, I was running late, and Mr. Roboto (aka Alex), the CJLO program director, was running late due to transit issues.  Neither of us worried of the band...

Tuscon’s the Bled rolled into the CJLO studios October 28, 2005 and recorded what probably has been the loudest CJLO Session to date.

After having serious trouble getting to the station (thanks, Mapquest…who, for the record, gives the complete opposite directions to get to the station, sending you to East Montreal, rather than West), the guys trucked on, determined to get this session done.
